You Made Fun of Me Behind My Back
16 Things Guys Make Fun Of Behind Your Back
That's a logical question because who really wants people making fun of them behind their back?
It's not that guys don't love women. Guys do TOTALLY love women. I mean, duh. They love the way we smell, and the way we laugh, and the way…well, they love a ton of things about us. But, that doesn't stop guys from sometimes poking fun at us behind our backs. Yes, ladies, guys will make fun of you behind your back whether you like it or not. It's not something that be upset over, though, because we make fun of guys behind their backs all the time too, right? We make fun of the way they smell, the way they fart, the way they act during a football game. The back and forth teasing dynamic is natural, just something that happens because we're opposite genders. We respond to things differently and that can, sometimes, be worth making fun of.
That being said, you're probably wondering what guys are making fun of you for behind your back. That's a logical question because who really wants people making fun of them behind their back? Well, the great news is that we've narrowed it down. Yes, we're here to spill the deets on what guys are making fun of you for. Don't panic, it's not as bad as your think. They basically make fun of us for the stuff we post online, y'know selfies, inspirational quotes, lattes, memes, all the best things in life.
If you ever want to know how the other men are thinking, here you go! Below are 16 things dudes totally make fun of us for behind our backs.
16 Your Selfies, No Matter How Hot They Are
Guys like our selfies. And I do mean that, because guys will physically, actually 'like' our selfies on Instagram and Facebook. That may make you feel good, not the you should ever need the approval of a man to feel good because you're a queen all on your own. Even though you're a queen, when you post a selfie on social media, you are looking for some kind feedback in the form of likes. While he may 'like' it, he'll also make fun of it behind your back. Yes, even if it's your best selfie, even if you look like Blake Lively and Megan Fox had a baby, even if you're so beautiful it makes him go blind, he will still make fun of your selfie. That's because taking a selfie is weird. It's just a weird thing to do. It's part of our culture now, but just think about the act of flipping your phone around, pouting into the camera, selecting a filter and then putting it on social media. It's weird process. But hey, if you look hot, who really cares if he makes fun of your selfie behind your back?
15 The Way You're Always Cold
Do women have thinner skin than guys? No, I mean that question in a biological, physical way. I think women may actually have thinner skin than guys because we're always so much colder. And, yes, this is something he will make fun of behind your back. He'll make fun of the way you bring your winter jacket to the movie theater because it's chilly. He'll make fun of the way you can't deal with the air conditioner being on too high. He'll make fun of all the blankets you need to sleep with at night. He'll make fun of the way you wear your socks around the house so your feetsies don't get cold. Basically, anything you do to stay warm will result in a funny little story he tells his friends. It's all loving, though. And, quite frankly, he probably enjoys being the one to keep you warm. Even so, guys still can't get over how we react to cold weather.
14 How You Never Know What You Want To Eat
Guys will lovingly make fun of how chilly you always are, but when they make fun of how you never know what to eat, they're actually kind of annoyed.
Not knowing what you want to eat is one of the few things that can drive men CRAZY. You know the drill: It's near dinnertime and he asks what you want to eat. You respond, as all women always respond to that question, "I don't know. What are you in the mood for?" Then, he says an option… and you're not in the mood for that. It's a tale as old as time. Sure, we sometimes know what we want to eat. But, most of the time, we need to hear anywhere between 7 to 39 options before we decide on dinner.
This will surely get under his skin, mostly because guys get irrationally mad when they're hungry. But hey, us ladies will often make fun of guys for how hungry they get so it's a win-win situation.
13 How Long You Take To Get Ready
Even the most patient guy will simply not be able to understand how long it takes you to get ready and they will undoubtedly make fun of you for it. Guys are lucky in the getting ready department, y'know because they shower and they're basically good to go. We have to contour this and curl that and lotion everything. It's a process, to say the very least. While guys will always enjoy the end product of all our hard work, they don't fully understand why it takes us so long. Well, they're never tried to have two perfect winged eyes, am I right?
They way guys make fun of us for taking so long to get ready is usually loving, though. They'll do that thing where they roll their eyes because you took so long to get ready, but he's really not that annoyed. I mean, at this point, guys basically just assume it's going to take you long AF to get ready.
12 Your Use Of Emojis
Depending on the guy, this making-fun-of can be loving or it can be a little annoyed. This depends on, of course, if he finds emojis cute or annoying.
Emojis have become a normal part of texting, but not everyone likes to communicate through pictures. Our girlfriends may be down with communication solely through emojis, and isn't it wonderful that your girlfriends totally know what you mean when you simply text emojis? But, a dude you're flirting with may not know what the horse and spaghetti emoji mean when used together. It may be frustrating for him to get 16 emojis from you and have to figure out what you're trying to communicate. He'll definitely make fun of you for all your emojis and he may even show his friends your texts if they're emoji-heavy.
To avoid being made fun of for all your emojis, lay off the emojis until you're sure he understands what a lightening bolt, baby, and fish emoji all mean when used together. Also, please let us all know when a lightening bolt, baby and fish emoji all mean together.
11 Your Obsession With Fictional Male Characters
If you've ever watched This is Us, you clearly know that Jack is EVERYTHING. As a father, as a husband, as a man, he's just everything. He's the perfect human. But, this isn't Jack specific. This is about any and all fictional characters. So, think the dearly departed McDreamy on Grey's Anatomy, Jon Snow on Game of Thrones, even Edward Cullen in the Twilight films. Basically, any time you've been the most obsessed with a fictional character, guys have made fun of you for it. And, yes, it is funny that we fall in actual love with fictional characters. But, maybe men should take a note from these fictional characters. I mean, if they were as loving and amazing as these fictional characters, we wouldn't have to watch old episodes of Grey's Anatomy every single day. Make fun of us all you want men, but maybe you should step up your McDreamy game.
10 How You Don't Know About ~ Sports ~
This item isn't specific for all girls. Actually, none of these items are for ALL girls everywhere, because what do I know about your emoji use or love of McDreamy? Some women don't watch TV, or use emojis, or take forever to get ready. And, some women do actually know about sports. These women are goddesses to men. They are the types of hotties who can talk about the NFL Draft or NBA playoffs. Most of us women, though, are better versed in talking about Chrissy Teigen's latest Instagram post. If you don't know about sports, that's fine, but he will totally make fun of you for not knowing anything. He'll make fun of you even more if try to talk sports but don't know anything. He may even think it's cute, but he'll still totally make fun of you with his guy friends who are in the know.
9 Your Girl Crush On Blake Lively
So, you may not know about sports, but you do know all about Blake Lively, and Jennifer Lawrence, and Emma Stone, and Chrissy Teigen. And, any of those actresses may be your ultimate girl crush. Girl crushes are a healthy thing, in which you're like actually obsessed with a female celebrity. You kind of want to be friends with her and also be her at the same time. You worship her and anything she does is perfect. You'll talk about her latest Jimmy Kimmel interview or Snapchat for hours on end. Guys may not be totally interested in how much you love Chrissy Teigen's cellulite post. And so, they'll end up making fun of you for this. But, whatever. You love who you love, and Blake Lively's hair was literally made by the gods.
8 Those Inspirational Quotes You Post
Like I said, these items may not pertain to every single girl in the whole world. So, you may not be the type to post inspirational quotes, but some girls totally are. Why do some girls post inspirational quotes on social media? Well, why not! It's a nice little phrase that makes people happy, right? It gets us all through the day. Sometimes it's a motivational quote, sometimes it's an Audrey Hepburn quote, sometimes it's about working out. Whatever it is, though, guys will make fun of you for it.
Let them laugh. Because hey, if posting inspirational quotes inspires you, don't stop for the haters. Keep living that inspiring life, even if everyone makes fun of you for it behind your back.
7 How Hollywood Breakups Make You Sad
It's not like you've ever personally met Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, but for some reason, their divorce rocked your world. The same thing happened with Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield's breakup and Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce. Why are we so invested in celebrity relationships? I don't know. Maybe it's because the relationships seem both glamorous and down-to-earth. Or, maybe it's because it's a Hollywood fairy tale. Or, maybe it's just because we want someone to beat the odds. Whatever it is, when one of your favorite Hollywood couples breaks up, you are devastated. It's as if someone has actually just dumped you. No, it doesn't make a ton of sense that you get so upset and interested over Hollywood breakups, and he will make fun of you for this. But hey, you're just feeling feelings. And, MY GOD, why couldn't Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck just make it work?
6 Your Love Of Memes
Selfies, emojis, inspirational quotes. We can also add memes to the list of things guys just don't get about women and their phones. This is not to say that guys don't enjoy the occasional meme. I mean, guys are only human, right? And, I believe that all humans, to some degree, enjoy memes. Because really, what's there not to like about a great meme? But, girls love memes much more then men, and they love tagging their friends to look at memes, and they love sending memes to their friends via text. I'm pretty sure some girls would wear meme tee-shirts. Also, do they sell meme tee-shirts. Asking for a friend.
When it comes down to it, guys just don't get about 99% of the things we do with our phones. But, we also don't understand why guys are glued to their phones for fantasy football or whatever, so I guess it evens out at the end of the day.
5 All Those Latte Instagram Posts
The practice of posting what you're eating or drinking to Instagram is weird. Yes, it's a commonly accepted practice now, but it's still weird. Like, think about it. Before even biting into your avocado toast, you take a picture of it and post it to Instagram. You don't even know if it's good yet! But, of course, the real point is simply that it looks good.
We also post coffee, cocktails, dessert and basically anything that's about to go into our mouths. It's so weird and guys, of course, recognize this weirdness. Yes, he will totally make fun of that latte you posted at 10am, that salad you posted at 1pm, and that martini you posted at 7pm. But, also, does the world really need to know everything you are putting into your body? Hm, maybe guys are right to make fun of us girls for this one.
4 Basically, Anything You Put On Instagram
Alright, we could narrow down quite a few things into this simple phrase: Anything you post on Instagram will probably be something he makes fun of you for. It's that simple.
There are a few exceptions. You could post a cute picture of your dog and maybe he won't make fun of that. You could also post a cute picture of a baby – yours or someone else's – and he might not make fun of that. But, if you post too many pictures of cute dogs or cute babies, it'll still probably be something he makes fun of you for. No matter how cute the dog, he'll make fun of the fact you've posted 64 pictures of it in two days.
Let's just all be honest, Instagram is for food, drinks, sunsets and selfies. He's going to make fun of you for these things. But, who cares? Your selfies are hot and your dogs are cute. Post away and be okay with the snickering behind your back.
3 That Fashion Forward Outfit
Guys just don't get fashion. If you need proof that guys just don't get fashion, watch an episode of Sex and the City with any living man. He will, without fail, make fun of Carrie Bradshaw's outfit. And, we all know Carrie Bradshaw is an fashion GOD. Carrie was fashion forward, daring and, most importantly, fun. Carrie Bradshaw is a fashion icon for a reason, people! But, guys don't get that fashion isn't just about looking sexy. It's not just about attracting the male gaze. It's about wearing something daring or inventive. It's about expressing who you are through clothing
All this being said, if you wear something fashion forward, guys will 100% make fun of you behind your back. Do not let that stop you from wearing that hat, brooch, or jumpsuit. Keep being you and letting your inner Carrie Bradshaw shine.
2 Your LOVE Of Babies, Puppies, And Kittens
Women have a natural gene that makes they love baby things, right? Women love little babies dressed in adorable onesies, even though most little babies look like aliens. Women also love puppies. Like, most women would run through traffic just to pet a puppy. Women love kittens and would dedicated a whole afternoon to watching kitten videos on YouTube. Actually, women love most miniature things – like toiletries. Just about anything that is a teeny, tiny version of something normally bigger is a thing that women love. Guys don't necessarily get our obsession with teeny, tiny things and that's a bummer for dudes. If they could only see how glorious miniature mouthwash is, they would live a happier and fuller life.
Speaking of genes, women also have a gene for loving candles and this is another thing dudes just don't get. If he finds out you dropped $87 on candles, he'll 100% make fun of your aroma obsession.
1 How You React During Romantic Comedies
Romantic comedies are notorious for not being the highest quality movie. I mean, rom-coms used to be AH-MAZING in the '90s, when Meg Ryan, Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock with often headline a romantic comedy. Now, though, romantic comedies have fallen from their former glory. That being said, a guy will 100% make fun of you for dragging him to see the latest romantic comedy. He'll roll his eyes and laugh about it with his friends. But really, this is all for show. The truth is sometimes guys love an excuse to watch a romantic comedy because even dudes can't resist watching a movie in which two people end up together. The romance of it all! And, this is the way with most of the things he'll make fun of behind your back. He may make fun of you for it, but he also secretly loves it. Well, except for the whole not knowing what you want to eat thing. He flat out hates that one, girl.
